Gallagher Bassett is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Nelson to the role of National Operations Manager – Personal Injury.
Andrea brings over 24 years industry experience, including 15 years Accredited Employer Program (AEP) experience to the role. Joining Gallagher Bassett five years ago as a Case Manager Andrea progressed into both Account Management and Team Leader positions.
As National Operations Manager – Personal Injury, Andrea will be responsible for the performance and development of all personal injury claims teams ensuring consistent, efficient and timely delivery of service, ensuring compliance to industry regulations, policies and guidelines and developing and maintaining relationships with management, work teams and customers as necessary.
Andrea is excited about the new role.

Andrea commenced in the position in September and is based in Christchurch, regularly travelling to GB sites around New Zealand.
As a result of the change in operations structure, Peter Neilson has also moved into the role of General Manager.
Peter now provides leadership and direction to the New Zealand based Life, Health, Disability and Personal Injury teams, overseeing and ensuring optimum claims outcomes and customer focused, cost effective claims management delivery.
Peter has been with Gallagher Bassett for almost three years as the National Operations Manager. He is well versed to manage the Life, Health, Disability and Personal Injury divisions with more than 22 years industry experience and an excellent reputation both in and outside of GB.
He commenced as General Manager as of August and will continue to be based in Auckland.
The structural changes come as a result of the continuous growth in our service offering. Along with our Personal Injury work and non-work AEP claims management our service suite now includes health and wellness programs, insurance policy and claims administration, property, motor and marine claims assistance and cyber security.
We are committed to providing excellent customer service and there have been changes to our operational structure to ensure this continues.
